Our History

Formed in January 2006 MFG Construction NW Ltd is a privately owned business focused on the provision of building, construction and civil engineering core competencies and expertise.

The continued development and growth of the business is centred around our commitment to provide the highest standards of service, together with the development of close working relationships with our clients and customers to achieve the most appropriate and best value options.

Our vision is to be the first-choice preferred small-medium construction company across the UK and to be the benchmark against which our competitors are measured.

The well being, training and development of each of our employees is of key importance to our company. Our Training Policy sets out clear commitments and objectives to ensure the continuing development of our employees to enable them to work effectively and improve their capabilities. Our Equal Opportunities Policy sets a framework to ensure everyone is treated fairly and provided with opportunities to broaden their skills and progress further.

Annually training and development needs are identified and agreed for every employee resulting in a company training plan setting out the complete company training requirements for the year ahead. This ensures that each employee attends the most appropriate training to equip them with the relevant knowledge and skills to do their job competently. Other training needs may be included to address new or changed legislation, introduction of new plant/tools, or changes in method and systems of work. A half yearly review is also completed to update and amend training needs if required.

As a member of the CITB Construction Skills Scheme our employees undertake appropriate nationally recognised and accredited qualifications endorsed by the CITB, including modern apprenticeships, CPCS and CSCS Schemes, Site Supervisors Safety (SSSTS), Site Managers Safety (SMSTS), specialist plant and equipment.
To ensure everyone is fully aware of all current changes in legislation, company policy or working practices, monthly safety and briefing meetings are held. As well as senior management, site management and supervisors, employees are also included, providing an opportunity for feedback and discussion. Also at these meetings ‘Toolbox Talks’ are undertaken on current and relevant topics.

Within a relatively short time MFG Construction NW Ltd has secured contracts and developed solid business relationships with a number of large and reputable companies. A key business aim is to retain and enhance all our existing business relationships, and at the same time, positively seek out and secure new business associations.

We pride ourselves in always striving to provide a very flexible and reactive service and being able to respond to urgent requests from our customers usually via the operation of joint help desk facilities.
