Platform & Car Park Refurbishment

Prior to the commencement of the main works MFG undertook a platform re-gauging and idealised design update which was fully approved and signed-off by Network Rail. Included in this initial stage was the supply and fix of new white datum plates at each platform end and at 10 metre centre/existing chainages. Additionally the existing riser wall and platform construction were dismantled and a new riser wall, including platform copers and tactiles, was constructed. The main works included:Installation of a new drainage system, including concrete pad stone and pre-cast concrete goods and the resurfacing of the platform

  • Construction of the new platform end gate and fencing, including new signage and waiting shelter
  • Upgrade of complete platform lighting system including comprehensive testing and commissioning
  • Removal of the existing car park surfacing
  • Installation of a new drainage system, including kerbs and dish channels
  • Resurfacing of the car park and application of thermoplastic line markings
